Press Releases: Multiplayer Server Now Available
Posted by admin on Tuesday, September 26 @ 01:19:52 EST
AusFlightSim The great people from VB Nav Challenge have generously granted AusFlightSim members access to their multiplayer FSInn and TeamSpeak servers. VB Nav Challenge are committed to the advancement of online Flight Sim flying in Australia, New Zealand and Papua New Guinea. Their aim is to promote accurate flying procedures through education, examples and fun activities like short hops from field to field.

The server is available for casual flying and is a great place for first timers to experience online flying with a large number of other Australian flight-simmers. If you've never flown online before this server gives you a good opportunity to try it out without needing to know the requirements of Air Traffic Control as provided on servers like VATSIM.

For full details AusFlightSim members can log in to their account and visit the Multiplayer Server page.

Press Releases: Operations Normal at AusFlightSim
Posted by admin on Thursday, September 21 @ 04:04:38 EST
AusFlightSim It is with great pleasure that I am pleased to announce that we are now operations normal. After a few long days and a couple of late nights I've managed to transfer the entire AusFlightSim website, along with The FlightSim Store website to a new, and from all reports, more reliable hosting provider. After weeks of rolling outages and an unfortunate account suspension the decision was made to ditch the old provider. Our website now resides on a server administered by the same company that the good people at Vista Australis use. They transfer many gigabytes of data each month and have reported not a single problem with this provider.

With the exception of a few library files still in transit the move, although pain stakingly long, has been relatively worry free. If you notice anything out of order or if you receive errors when using any part of the site, please report them to us. Many thanks to everyone who offered support during this time, and your patience has been greatly appreciated. From here AusFlightSim can only get better!

Finney Air

On behalf of AusFlightSim I would like to thank Rob Finnegan and Finney Air for their outstanding contributions. We were recently asked by Rob to remove a large number of files from our library due to an issue he was having with a payware author.

Since the removal Rob has uploaded 14 new files. Many thanks Rob and Finney Air for your great support. Here are the new files, enjoy!
