From the VATPAC Events Email Shannon Wells of VATPAC writes: "Well not much left this month, and I guess I better get that calendar planned for June (nearly halfway through the way, quite alarming.. !)
· Saturday 20th May – VA Night: Vatpac Long Haul Club
· Tuesday 23rd May – Australia Online: Edinburgh
· Sunday 28th May – Skifields Event: This Sunday afternoon, the Australian Alps will come alive, as we invade Cooma and Mt Hotham, a great chance for a bit of OCTA flying, while not being too far away from the controllers. Sunday afternoons usually go off with a bang, so give it a go, easy flight from Melbourne or Sydney in a jet, or try a prop from somewhere closer.
That about wraps up May, no real plans for June, however I’m always open to suggestions, so feel free to throw something my way. The events team are starting to look at event ideas “outside the square” so if you got something a bit different, let me know about it… !
Following up from our “VATPAC Events in your CITY” plea, I’ve had offers from… Hobart (funningly enough, but not my house), Adelaide and Melbourne (any not many offers within these cities). For this concept to get off the ground, I’d be look for a few more nibbles on the line, so let me know if you are interested, if you can’t remember what I’m talking about, shoot your eyes to - http://www.vatpac.org/forums/showthread.php?t=6560.
