The people behind AusFlightSim
Adrian Lehmann - adrian at ausflightsim dot net
Adrian is a software developer hailing from south western Sydney and has been simming on and off for over 10 years. He is passionate about his hobby and you'll often find him flying on the VATSIM network as VHAPL (Alpha Papa Lima). Adrian is also a member of two of Australia's oldest and most successful virtual airlines, EastWest Airlines (VA) and Qantas Virtual Airways, where he often enjoys racking up enormous virtual repair bills for horribly botched landings. He is also a member of Virtual VFR and a proud supporter of the Vista Australis (VOZ) project. Adrian is extemely enthusiastic about flight simulation in Australia and created AusFlightSim in order give something back to the hobby and community that has become his most favourite past time.
Gavin Gillett - gavin at ausflightsim dot net
Gavin has a wide range of interests and is currently studying full time for his PPL/CPL(H). He loves playing Rugby Union and up until starting his PPL/CPL he represented Geraldton. Gavin has been into flight simulations since the first Commodore 64 flight sim and he has wanted to fly since about the age of 5 years old. Gavin also enjoys writing and contributing to various website's around the world that share his two great loves, Rugby and Flying.
David Allen - david at ausflightsim dot net
David is a real world ATPL holder who hails from North Western Sydney. He has over 13,000 hours in the cockpit and holds current ratings for Boeing 737 400/700/800, Boeing 767, Bombadier Global Express, Citation 1, 2, 3, and a few others such as King Air and various other large and small turbine and twin engine aircraft. David primarily uses FS9 as a proceedural practice bed for arrival and departure scenarios and facilities before blasting off to the detinations where his work takes him. He also uses Combat Flight Simulator 3 as a wind down excercise, playing against his young son. David's other interests include cooking, playing drums (sometimes even in an old farts rock band), and he also has a passion for good wine.
Reidus Stokes - reidus at ausflightsim dot net
Reidus is a high school student from Yorktown, Virginia in the USA. He's only been flight-simming for a couple of months but used to fly his cousins FS2002 all the time when he was younger. Then about a year ago he bought FS2004 but found things a little difficult without a joystick. That problem has since been solved and he now manages to fly all the time. While Reidus is still new to flight simulation he has a keen interest to learn everything about flying. He enjoys searching for all things flightsim and loves the hobby, as such Reidus was a stand out candidate for the news writer role here at AusFlightSim.
Jay Kae - jay at ausflightsim dot net
Jay has been simming since FS1 came out, that means the greater part of his life to date. His passion has grown over the years into a hobby that he could not live without. Jay lives on the foot of the Blue Mountains and every so often has the chance go plane spotting at Richmond (YSRI) or Sydney (YSSY). The Australian FlightSim community is very important to Jay and he will do everything in his power to enhance it and make it better, and most of all more FUN for everyone! Jay believes it is a hobby that needs to be enjoyed by everyone involved.
