Hope someone can help .About 4 weeks ago my brand new HDD crashed within 5 weeks of being installed.I know,I know..backup..backup.I did backup most things up apart from a few programes , FsPassenger being one....And I had amassed over 40 000 points and a senior ATP pilot thingy..Im using my old hard drive but have cleaned a lot of stuff out of it(I was going to send it to my sister) and I deleted my FS9 game and a lot of other stuff she wouldn't need..My question is...Can I look in my comps registry thingy to find the 'un-lock' key?It should still be there as when I deleted stuff I didn't touch that area.Im not very comp literate and being on a pension I don't see any other way as I now have to buy a new HDD...and I have no money .The place I got the HDD from said because it was purchased 13 months ago, they couldn't help..I was amazed by this.I told them that it was only installed 5 weeks ago and showed them the receipt I had from the person who installed the HDD but still no luck.Im now trying to save some money to buy another HDD but,as I said, being a pensioner, this is going to take some time.Ive re-downloaded FsPassenger AGAIN( It took 9 hours as I cannot afford that alsd thing) and Im just...well...words cannot describe how Im feeling. ....so...what do I look for in my comps registry thing?....any help would be greatly appreciated as Im prity much stuck in my unit.

Hi Martin,
That's a tough break mate. I know what it's like to have a HDD spit the dummy. Last time it happened to me I lost a large amount of valuable information. But.... them's the breaks as they say. These days I back everything up to an external USB HDD.
Now, I just had a quick poke around at the FSPassengers website and in their FAQ section was the answer I think you're looking for. Take a look at the following URL:

Thanks for that Adrian.....and thats where my problem is.It was bought for me as a birthday present . .....so I have no alternative but to have 'silent' skies when I fly.I haven't even flown Fs9 in a few weeks now...its just not the same.I used to fly everyday....just a word of warning...be careful of Western Digital HDD....they may crash at any time.
