Good Evening all,
I was wondering if anyone knows of any articles or tutorials which will help with offline only weather in AVS 6.5. Things like how to get rain etc. I usually let AVS 6.5 work out the weather for me and accept what I get. I know one can change it, but I'm not confident how this is done.
I do not use online weather as I use an old computer (ie seperate) for the internet and a newer one to run FS9. I don't want my FS computer corrupted by any internet nasties.
There doesn't seem to be much about offline flying in the literature I've seen so far. Also, how does AS graphics work? If you call up a theme, does it change on route?
I've been quite happy with the offline weather so far, but everytime I fly in Australia, there are plenty of nice clouds about but never rain or storms. Whenever I fly out of Melbourne, for example, it never rains. I am reminded of an add for Four 'n' Twenty meat pies a few years ago where a line in the jingle was '...does it rain in Melbourne, does an Aussie love a pie...' - not in AVS 6.5 it doesn't, though I think we all like pies...
If anyone knows of such an article on offline weather or is able to assist with some tips, I'd be grateful.
Regards,
Nick |
