Ah yes the 767 by Level-D is definitely a fine bird to fly around in.

I have so many including the PMDG line up. I love flying GA aircraft and helos. I feel you cannot go wrong with the Carenado line up. Especially the Cessna 206 full pack. Heaps of livery for it, great model and VC. Real flight characteristic. Just can't go wrong.

I feel the PMDG was a waste for me as I do not have the patience to start it up. Bought them and have never left the ground yet. Very Happy

That's my two bits

Have to agree with you Rob. I am a big fan of the Caranado planes and have quite a few types and liveries in the hangar. I recently aquired the PMDG line up but as yet haven't found the time or patience to give them a good run. I will one day though. As much as I prefer to go low and slow in the lighties I do enjoy a good push of the old heavy metal every now and then.

Hi Adrian,

I know your post is over 12 months old, but as I'm new to the site and browsing the forums on a barmy Sydney afternoon, I thought I'd offer some ideas and help keep your credit card providers happy...

I'm using FS9, so these suggestions are for addons with this FS version. As some of them have been on the market for a while, there may be patches for use with FSX.

I agree with those who gave the PMDG 737 a good wrap. Clear printed instructions, Realistic and all the other things mentioned. I also agree with the comments about Level-D's 767.

I'm a Heavy Metal fan (in Aircrafts as opposed to the musical variety...) so my offerings are going to lean in their favour.

Wilco/feelThere's ERJ 145 Pilot in Command
PDF Manuals
approx 6 (from memory) liveries included
a really detailed EFIS display
accurate TCAS system
interesting FADAC engine controls
(As an extra, have a look at the "Jetmagic" cockpit DVD. The pilots featured are clearly fond of this aircraft and show you round their office professionally. It covers about 8 flights)

Commuter Airlines eurowings professional
One gets 10 aircrafts in this package - not bad value to my mind. I'm not sure how realistic they are in terms of the aircrafts flight characteristics, but suit my level of enjoyment.
The aircrafts are:
ATR 42-300
ATR 42-500
ATR 72-200
ATR 72-212
ATR 72-500
ATR 72-200/72
ATR 72-200 freighter
BAe 146-200 (there is a QANTASlink livery included...)
Airbus A319-100
Airbus A319-200

The package comes with an FMC from Flight1 developed for Dreamfleet's 737-400 from FS 2002 and is used with all aircraft, so not so realistic, but if you're a programmer... The FMC is a seperate programme which runs in the background and works well.
I'm not so jazzed with the Airbus. You can get a much better one from Phoenix Simulation Softwear (PSS), but the ATR's are great.

I have others but my NOTAMS on these will be brief as dinner is iminent...

PSS A340 series (includes A330). Well modeled (to my non real world mind) FMGS, TCAS, load editator, sounds. Printed manual and tutorial flight included.

PSS Dash 8-300. FMC, TCAS great looking cockpit, sounds, load editor and tutorial flight.

I should add that I don't work for or have any affilliation with PSS - I simply like their stuff!

Ok. Dinner's ready now.

Nick

Totally agree with the PSS Dash 8, that is one fantastic bird.

Speaking of PSS does anyone know what's happened to their website?

Wow, very sad to see top quality companies like PSS hit the wall like that. Good on Antony to keep the dream alive and trying to keep it going.
