Australia and New Zealand scenery sites

If someone knows of any websites to download freeware as well as payware scenery for Australia and also New Zealand I would appreciate it.

Also, if someone knows of a good scenery for Kingsford Smith Intl Airport in Sydney, I would appreciate the information. I ran into one for FS 2002 but I am sure that there needs to be one more updated for FS 2004 and/or FSX.

Hi echemendia,

I trust you are familiar with VOZ (it's free...) for Australian scenery. Not sure about NZ though.

VOZ includes Kingsford Smith airport and I am sure there is someone who has done YSSY on avsim.

I fly the heavys mostly and VOZ recommends their scenery for VFR flying (you don't see much of the ground at FL 330) though the download includes lots of Australian airport enhancements.

If I am preaching to someone in the know, I trust you will forgive me. I'm not sure of you level of knowledge.

AFCAD files enhance airport parking (it sends AI aircraft to correct parking spots) and night lighting. I am still getting my head around this though I class myself as a real novice at mucking with FS programme files. Adequate instructions are generally included when someone has made an AFCAD file for a particular airport.

Finally, I'd recommend a paywear programme called FS Global 2008. I have FS Global 2005 (08 they say is a completely new product) which is a terrain mesh enhancement covering the whole world. It makes mountains and ground scenery far more realistic. In fact, there is a screen shot of Mt Cook in NZ with default FSX scenery and FS Global and the difference is stunning. Be Warned! The programme is on 5 DVDs (I think) and it'll take about 1 & 1/2 hours to load. Laughing
