I recently upgraded my pc from xp to Vista. MSFSx worked fine in xp but now I am getting a message saying thay my side by side configuration is incorrect. Can anyane assist in my little problem? I have been told that I require a dll dotnetfix3 from Microsoft but I cannot locate it. I need some help from Aussie geniuses not hoopla from some geek in Nigeria.

Much appreciated for any help

Shrek

Very Happy

Hi Shrek,

If you need to install .NET 3.0 then you can get it from here:
http://www.microsoft.com/Downloads/details.aspx?familyid=10CC340B-F857-4A14-83F5-25634C3BF043&displaylang=en

Hopefully that solves the issue for you but it looks like this problem can come about because of several reasons. Let me know if the .NET 3.0 install works for you otherwise we can keep at it and see what else if could be.

Also... do you have any kind of development tools installed? Like Microsoft Visual Studio etc? Make sure you have all the latest Vista updates as well.
