Excellent, thanks for the info guys - SP's have been installed. As I'm new to FSX, I didn't have any add-ons so no problems with compatibility.

I now have the fun duty of configuring this beast of a flight system so all the buttons make sense!

I'm already considering the 'next steps', and they are:

Track IR4Pro (already sick of looking around with the hat)
FTX Blue

Anything else worthwhile to add to the above? I'll mainly be flying in Aussie skies so are things like Traffic 2005 etc worthwhile?

Well you have heaps of great stuff there. Did you get a chance to try some of the software I suggested? Aircraft like the EC-135, Citation X, DA-20 Katana are all top class aircraft that you can get locally from the FSS.

Oh I have something for you, we use allot of the toys you get here in real world aviation. You will find they work extremely well in FSX and fully understand the level of realism this "Cough game" has once you have navigated via some of the navigational aids.

Kind Regards,

Gavin Gillett

Well, I've order FTX Blue and Traffic 2005 from FSS as the next additions to FSX. IR4Pro will probably follow soon - do you need the NaturalPoint Trackclip Pro to go with it? Does it make much difference?

As for the Katana and other A/C, I'll check those out once I have the above add-ons installed and running OK.

Hi Nosf3ra2

Yes the Pro clip does make a difference. It improves the accuracy and reduces the effect of back ground lights or infra red interference from things like remote controls.

Kind Regards,

Gavin Gillett

Thanks Gavin, that's the next addition to the sim experience. I've received both the AU Blue and Traffic 05 packs and I have to say they are awesome add-ons, particularly AU Blue! Just one word to describe it, "wow"! For someone who flies privately in r/l the quailty of the FTX terrain is amazing and to be able to navigate visually with a high level of accuracy is fantastic. I've added all of the AU Blue Hotfixes as well as the airport pack and they just add even more to the experience. I do all of my flying from Parafield here in SA, so the additional SA airports are a great additional and the authenticity is remarkebly good.

I knew you wouldn’t be disappointed.

Regards,

Gavin

P.S. I'm glad you’re having fun with it.
