Downloading Flight Simulator Accelerateion Pack

Hi there, My Name is Fletch and i am very new and still learning about computers, this is my first forum input. Anyway i recently bought the Delux editon of Flight Simulator and was given the Flight Simulator Acceleration Expantion Pack as a gift but can't seem to down load it. I keep getting the same message, " i need to download the original Flight Simulator First. I have only got the delux edition downloaded and the service pack 1 downloaded. Is there a way i can download the Acceleration Expantion Pack too. As i mentioned i am very new to the computer world and know very little about it all.
Could someone please help.

PS this is a excellent sight, glad i joined. Heaps of info. By the way the game. Flight Simulator is unreal.

Hi Fletch

Welcome to our forum

I would say you have download Flight Simulator X trial version and not the full Version which is 15GB in size and would say it would take a long time to download , so you would buy this on PC DVD .

The Flight Simulator X Trial Version in size is only 817MB which you can download

Hi there Viper 1 [Martin],
Thank you for getting back to me.
I think i do have the full version as it came with two cd's and took quite a long time to download, it's also about 13,345GB plus 175 for thr sp1 pack. and required to be Registered with the product key.
Would there be anything else i might not be doing right???

Registered with the product key but did the Product Activation ok

Hi there Viper, i actully bought the game over the net at a gaming shop and they sent me the game via snail mail. the gamming shop is called Gameswarehouse. I also believe the product key activated the game too.
It's got me stumped why it hasn't worked yet.

Remove all from pc ie, if you have Flight Simulator Acceleration and service pack 1 and Flight Simulator.

then reinstall Flight Simulator only and start up and Product Activation with product key and if all is ok go to

for service pack 1

i do not have Flight Simulator Acceleration you can look at http://www.fsinsider.com

IT WORKED, IT WORKED!
Thanks heaps for your time and advise, Viper. i did as you said and it now downloaded onto my computer. It's a great game too.
Now for some flying practic.
I'll stay in touch and most likely need more advise on other matters in the not so distant future, if you don't mind that is of course.
