game freezing up.

Hi there,
I've had Flight Sim now for a few months and love it, the only problem i don't like is that it freezes up every now and then. This may happen when i start it up but i found it happen mainly when i try and save the game.
I have tried lowering the graffic settings to see if it's my computer not being able to cope with the games graffics. this does help a bit but 9 out of 10 it still happens.
( My computer is running windows xp with 213 GB free space. it has a Intel[R] Core[TM] 2 CPU, 6400@2.13Ghz, 1.60GHz, @.00GB of RAM. )
Could someone let me know if there is something i can fix it with or Do i just keep on playing with a very low graffic setting? i don't know if this is a tech' glitch in the game or my computer.

Hi Fletch,
I had that problem some time back I found that the problem was my video card which I replaced and it solved the problem,also make sure you have the latest direct X installed which you can download from microsoft site.
Mate I not saying this will solve your problem but I am simply relating to you what I have experienced in a very similar situation.

Hi there Temman,
Thanks for replying back.
Not sure if i have the lastest Direct X downloaded but will look now.[ I have got Flight sim X and flight Sim Accelleration Expantion Pack installed, if that makes any differents]
would you know if the Video Cards are very expensive and would you recomend one that is siuted to my computer and flight sim [of course].
