G'day,
I, unfortunately got some "bum" advice and bought a Vista 32 bit O/S. So, all I can run is FSX. I am running a Nevidea GE8600GT Video Card. About 2 months ago now the program started departing from the norm. Strange things such as Altitude showing 0ft AGL whilst cruising at 30,000Ft. No speed shown in MFD when dialled up for 340knts IAS.
This seemed to fix the errors by itself and then I gave FSX a breather for about 2 weeks, opened it up - waited then waited some more until doble clicking on the bottom "Toolbar" only to be informed " Flight Simulator X is not responding?
So I completely uninstalled the sim waited 24 hrs then re-installed it - Still no joy! That's where I'm at presently. I've even been researching the cost of XP Software in order to downgrade.
Is there anyone out there with some suggestions cos I'm about ready to throw the computer out of the window!
Regards Woof. _________________ If you Think things are bad - They can get much worse!

Rather than going to XP, you might consider Windows 7. I have heard some really good things about it and it has compatibliltiy with XP and Vista.
I have Vista 64bit and I often get the "Not Responding" message as well. If I am patient, I am often rewarded with FSX, but sometimes, I don't get it, so I know your frustration aslo. _________________ Leviathan.
