Hello,
I just noticed a new function in FSX and I don't recall it being mentioned yet, so I figured I would mention it.

It appears that Microsoft has included in FSX the ability to save .cfg's as easily as saving a flight.
From the opening screen select Settings, on the Settings front page in the lower left are Load and Save buttons.
The function is also available in flight with Options/Settings.
I have not tried saving different hardware settings but I assume they will be included so it will be great for saving hardware assignments which are peculiar to a certain aircraft too (Dodosim Adv 206).

As I have been saying in other threads, adjusting settings to get the best performance is very important if you plan on making do with your present rig, and this makes it much less of a burden to do so.
This is very, very cool

Cheers
Gary

These are probably two of the biggest causes of annoyance among pre-FSX users. Great that the good guys at Aces have addressed these.

Hi there aussiereg

I also use the Saitek X52 but i'm not getting the same problem you have found.

Are you saving the control config to the Saitek Profile or the FSX control profile?

Kind regards,

Gavin Gillett

I also have an X-52. I have a profile I have saved using the X-52 software.

I use that along with a few buttons I have saved within FSX due to no key being assigned in FSX.

That being said, I could create a key definition in FSX and then map it to the joystick profile.

It could be as simple as your USB ports powering down when the system is quiet. Go into Device Manager and make sure any power down options are unchecked. It is a known problem with CH products. It is a real pain in the a... to have re-configure yoke and pedals the next time you use them.
