While making an XML Radio I tried to create a file called COM1.bmp
This produced an error warning "file already exists"
even though the file was being made in a empty folder.
The same thing occurred when I tried to make a file called COM1.xml
Thinking it must be an error with my computer I tried creating the files on a different computer but still got the error message.
Does it have something to do with com port 1 on the computer itself?
If any one knows why this happens please let me know.

Cheers Marty

Hi Marty,

COM0 through to COM9 are reserved words and cannot be used in filenames. There are plenty of others too.
