I recently installed the complete Voz Vista Australis package and whilst it is very good, I feel that it is marred by silly mistakes such as roads and railways disappearing into rivers because of bridges missing , or more
sillier still ,roads and railway lines climbing verticall over hills !!! (EG
Freemantle W.A & Alice Springs N.T, these are just 2 examples !!) I think that scenery designers should at least try to be a bit more logical in the way that they do their designing , and check that their work is as close as possible to reality given the design limitations, especially when the end product is available for world-wide distribution !!

G'day oldtimer,

Yeah sure there are a few flaws here and there but when you think about the difference that VOZ makes on a whole to flying is Aus in FS9 you really need to hand it to them. And VOZ is always a work in progress. I reckon if you shot a post or three in the VOZ forums gently pointing out a few specific areas as you have here I am sure one of the developers would eventually get around to having a crack at improving it.

What you do get, and for the price ($0.00) I think is well worth it. So it's not perfect... what is?

I'm with Adrian. While these problems are an eyesore there are thousands more of these problems in the default scenery of Australia. For the price I paid for this software I couldn’t be happier with what I downloaded.

The boys in the VOZ forum will be more than happy to show you how to fix these issue's and I think you will find the problem isn’t with VOZ 1.5 (VOZ works like a blanket covering the planet with different colours) If you haven’t done so already download Andy Weir's Shuttle Radar Topography Mission (SRTM) Mesh to improve the scenery depth's across all of Australia and that may fix your problem. Default FS9 Terrain had spot heights of 900m Andy's SRTM assisted Mesh brought that down to 90m

Regards,

Gavin Gillett
