Can anyone tell me how to get vista to accept a cd/dvd burner. I have tried a brand new one and my old faithful LG but Vista only recognises them as cd players. Not even DVD players. So I can only use music, I tried to change the region to see if that would help but I says I do not have permission.
Vista install programs OK from DVD's so some part at least must be working.

Also vista has to be rebooted most days as it looses its internet connection. An XP computer on the same router has no problems at all and my brothers lap top also with Vista has no problems either.

Cheers Marty
