Hi Guys,
VFR Operations - Archerfield
This next VFR flight has a twist. We will use radio navigation to navigate between Lismore and Archerfield.
Take a good look at the contents of this InfoKit. It contains simulations for:
+ using ADF radio equipment to track to an NDB station
+ using the NAV radio equipment for tracking radials to and from a VOR station.
There are also tutorials on the process that cover all you need to know about using the nav radios.
In addition to the usual kit contents, you will find a blow by blow description of setting and using your Nav Radios for this flight.
WHAT A TWIST!
This will be a VFR flight like no other before. It will give you a taste of how you can begin to introduce radio navigation into your flights.
I'm requesting the following ATC support for the flight:
+ Archerfield Tower
+ Brisbane Centre
The event will be held at the following times:
Friday 26th September at 8:00pm EST Sydney/10:00z
Sunday 28th September at 3:00pm EST Sydney/5:00z
If you are interested in joining in and currently don't receive my Information Kits for the flight, please send a email to vfrEvents@vatpac.org.
